In the morning we did flag (we had flag before dinner the day before, sorry I forgot) and went to breakfast with a sandfellar shoe. For breakfast we had crumpled eggs with sausages, crumble cake, orange, orange juice and some other stuff.

Due to writing so late I have forgotten some stuff unlit we reached the loooong hike. So we started by just sitting there and eventually standing to sing some songs and learned the meaning to F.B.I. fungus bacteria and invertebrate. Then we went on the hike. Before we got to the trail start we saw Mr. Sherman, our principal and everyone was very excited and happy (out principal is very nice).

When we crossed the road we almost immediately found a banana slug. When we reached a clearing we sat down and looked at it. It is yellow to warn predators of their deadly protection. The top slime is just to keep in water but the bottom slime is very sticky. With this stickiness it can close things mouth. Although they usually make slime so the predator is unable to breath and it passes out so the banana slug can get out. The slug moves twelve feet per hour so it stays in the mouth for a long time. The slime is also takes 4-5 days to get off no matter what.Our naturalist, Caimem, told us a story how he once had to wait for twenty minutes to get off the door knob.They also use the slime to climb stuff, but the can get down easily by making a string of slime like a spider. Then we all got a chance to take pictures or kiss the slug, and yes, I kissed it and you only feel the coldness. Then we moved on. Throughout the hike we saw about 13 banana slugs.

Eventually we got to a hard, rockish, sandy place and did our quick writes, which had three questions, 1. How are you doing? 2. Is anything bothering you? and silly question 3. Draw a banana slug on a turtle drinking tea. The reason a banana slug on a turtle was because banana slug are super slow and a turtle is like a race car. Joke, what did the banana slug say on top of the turtle? Answer, WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

So then we play a game in which two groups and each group must be a full tree and touch the sun, our naturalist. Chlorophyll, one of us, make the tree by taking a tree part, the rest of us, going to the root, a cabin leader and then start weaving under the connected arms. The C (chlorophyll) and the tree part can never stop touching each other until the C attaches you to the rest of the tree. Like in real life the tree can't grow without the sun, which also rises and sets.
